There not much wrong with it what is 10 sec that is nothing compared to say 15 or 20sec recharge.

1. No, your title does not need all caps, the caps lock filter is there for a reason.

2. Boon prots are still perfectly viable.

my main pvp char is a boon prot and i barely noticed a difference, the recharge change simply gives a prepared enemy a chance to spike you within a 10 second window, the 10 less heal is a non issue.

Boon prots took ~7% healing efficiency hit. It's not enough to destroy them, but diversion mesmers will run rampant. It's just Anet's way of forcing teams to start moving toward Blights.

Divine boon did get a nerf when it came to healing. However this goes along the lines of making them still viable but not superior anymore.

I disagree. I would say it's ArenaNet's way of making the healing line more viable than usual. The metagame was boon prots, they were superior in every way to a healing monk

HAH! Ridiculous. In my hands, a boon prot is still an adaquate build. It just got balanced. Learn to live with it, and perhaps learn to play your build, and make a good personalised version, instead of whining because your cookiecutter version of boonprot got nerfed.

I think they nerfed it because for every boon prot, you need 3 damage dealers to kill it. I'm glad arenanet realized something was overpowered and overplayed...too bad they didn't nerf it. What's 5 less health gonna do?

Nerfing divine boon won't cause more healing monks to pop up in GvG. The cast times are just considered too slow, so it's only forcing people to go blight. Boons aren't dead, Healing isn't coming back anymore than it already was, and more monks will start running blight.

That's all that's going to happen from the change.

Coming from my guild's resident Boon Prot after 2 matches of booning post update: He went Blight for the third match before we left lol.

He said it was just too much of a hassle now juggling MoR as a cover enchant for it (the one time he ran Energy Drain...He was useless the whole match..his divine boon lasted about half a sec everytime he applied it lol), and timing off Diversions.

Look in gladiator's arena forum for discussion of the skill changes. There's even a thread conveniently titled Boon Prots Obsolete? at the top of page one...
